Why does the listed time for Mega Man 9 on the game list use the IL table time rather than the run on the page?  The IL table doesn't really play through the game since it holds certain advantages like having every weapon and being able to do Wily's Castle in segments.

I didn't know if this was a technical issue or not.

Usually the listed time just defaults to the faster time, so IL tables and segmented runs are usually faster than full runs.

There is also the technicallity where the runs in the time attack give the player all the weapons instead of having what weapons you earned... Thus would be another reason why it would be a separate category...

Current Activities (In no order):
1) Awaiting results for Prototype speed run (New game + /w save warping)
2) Retrying NG+ Crackdown Speed Run (Needs help with double jumping and perhaps route planning)
3) Replanning Muramasa: Kisuke Speed Run (everything in the run needs improvement...)
4) Preparing Subspace Speed Run (SSBB)- difficulty being disputed...
5) Planning to perform speedruns for one of the following games:
A Kingdom for Keflings, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Madworld, No more heroes, and Saints row 2...
6) Planning co-op runs for some of the games mentioned up top, a crackdown co-op and perhaps a speed run coop for left 4 dead... (MSG me if you want in)

I need to plan out my things to do list better...  ><

My Goal on SDA: Get new great games added to the game list on Speed Demos Archive (and make sure they are decent, not something that feels rushed...)

It is a separate category. What they are talking about is the time that shows up in the game list page (each game only lists one time on that page, which is the shortest time of any run on the actual game page).

Which that is funny, because the current fastest Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness run is (N/A). Wow, I'm so fast, I'm not able to be timed!

Close. Shortest time of any main game run on the game page. (This explains the next post by VG.)

I guess what the OP would ask is, "why is the IL table time considered a main game run?" The answer is that as long as the same character is used and the same maps are used, NG+ games are considered main games.  It gets confusing though; I was even confused trying to word this correctly.

@Enhasa: why are the games listed this way (leading to the N/A times VG noted)?
