I wonder what speedruns SDA wouldn't accept. Probably some nudity videogame speedrun, besides that I'm not quite sure. Oh, and who says that was a serious speedrun? heh... I think it would be quite amusing to have You Have to Burn the Rope on SDA. Can I speedrun this: http://www.lanceandeskimo.com/flash/quest.html ? EDIT: I beat this game ^ 14 times and now I can't complete it. LOL

Where, then, do we draw the line? At least Clue was a commercial game that was supposed to provide the player with some challenge. Well, you don't. In my opinion, if Clue has been accepted (and there is no skill whatsoever in that run) then it would be unfair to reject any other game. I think Enhasa made a point about this a while ago to the effect of "unless the game says SDA is bad in the background and the objective is to click once to complete the game, it will be accepted". I think the point is, if you decide to run one of these flash games, the run may go up on SDA but depending on its difficulty won't be taken very seriously. You could hold the record for most runs by running like 50 of them in a week but the novelty would wear off at some point.

I can't tell if I think this whole thing is terrible and I feel bad for starting it, or if I actually kind of like the idea of the run because it shows how much work it takes to run even a dead simple game

Time Kufc: Was funny until I encountered those square/block/round/cross kind of blocks. Those were not funny Or maybe I just didn't really figure out correctly how they worked... Yeah, those blocks confused me too until I realize if you're standing next to them when you cross dimensions they'll follow you. Lots of loading in that game. Anyone figure out a way to clear progress and go back through old levels? Figured out the level select.

AndrewG, I expect a lot of discussion off the game you just linked there.. ¬_¬ I'll start. The thing with that game is that it's simple to play AND simple to speedrun, which isn't the case with You Have To Burn The Rope. The game andrewg linked to is really an example of what Enhasa said. For a moment I thought it said Lag.com on the bottom button at the end of the credits

I still think bloons is the best game ever. Myninjakiwi made that game awesome, but sadly, it's shut down now. I still think most of the bloons packs would be runnable, it would be kinda weird though to see a run of it.

For a moment I thought it said Lag.com on the bottom button at the end of the credits If you played again you'll notice that your steps increase each time you play through the game, unless you hit a wall, which will stop your movement. Still I agree, not a good game to speedrun since you have to play through each level, it doesn't exactly end since you can always play again, so when do you stop?

Tower defenses are really fun but I highly doupt these kind of games are speedrunnable.

This is the original in where you have to pop all bloons of a level using charged shots with your dart-throwing monkey. Bloons Tower Defense series are tower defense games taking place in the bloons universe. I don't think an IL table of bloons would be all that impressive, but a fast SS would be a feat.

Then it seems like a very trivial game, and a speedrun would not be significantly faster than a normal play through.

Aaaah, I seee. Yeah this game is good, if anybody want to give a try! From what I saw, the two ways to end a level are: no more ammo with required number of poped bloons, or blow them all.
