The segment looks good, but I have one question.

Why do you just ground dash? Isn't it faster to dash, then dash jump?

is there a specific part of the stage your talking about? some places the time difference is negligible because of low ceilings causing your jump to peak too soon limiting your distance. i.e. dashing to cervau and back

Segment 3 fail was going great, but i lost 2-3 seconds on the stage, and at least 4 seconds on the boss. normally the boss fight would go charge saber, triple slash, sabre smash, then repeat after invincibility frames, but i f'ed up a bunch of stuff.

The Main body of the stage looks realy good.

The boss was kinda fucked up, but assuming your combo is: Charged Slash, Triple Slash and SaberSmash, then you can easily kill him with 2 combos.

If this is the combo you were trying, then your segment is good, but you need to get a better attempt just because the boss.

The stage was really smooth. Good luck if you will try to improve the bossfight.

two things,

I'm not sure if this first actually saves time, but Recoil Rod propelling off the HeavyCannon before the first container dropping point might not be a bad idea.

second, and this I say IS A MUST because you are segmenting that shit, when you're standing on the third container (lava that flows diagonally downwards) dash jump over to the next and immedeatly onward instead of waiting, saves more than a second, and looks better and it's not that hard.
(I honestly believe you will be able to aply this easily.)

if you do that and revamp the boss, you've got one killer segment fer sure.

ok. thanks for the help. that's why i post these starter videos. i tested out the recoil rod thing, it looks cool, but it doesn't save any time because you have to wait longer for the containers to drop down. and it's kinda hard to pull off because Zero can just barely jump over the heavy cannon

Great, I thought as much ^^

I figured it didn't save time, but I wasn't sure.

I can't wait to see this segment perfected (it's my fav stage in the game)

I'm thinking of running Megaman X3 for PC. One important question though, is there any way for the run to be segmented? Perhaps an IL table?

I would do an X3 run segmented, considering the PC version is the same as the XCollection version, which is what I used for my SDA run. Any people seem to dislike segmented MegaMan runs though...and technically talking about X3 should be in the older consoles area. :p

It would be cool if you do it segmented, even SS speedruns are realy nice for this game. Also, i don't think IL Speedrun won't be done in here since your performance depends on what you get before the actual stage you would be doing.

I think it might be acceptable to just enter the passwords for segmented.

Some bad news. I accidentally overwrote my schilt save file (i'm so fucking pissed right now) so i gotta re-do that level. from now on i'm copying every successful segment.

Damn, that sucks.

BTW, you can just load your game like how you load in X4 and forward, if you are using X3 on the PC Version.
