Thanks, I'll try and fiddle around with both versions and see if any of them works.

I installed it and Jono's port, but all I get when I start up is the green background, no demo at all, even though there are demos in the directory.

XP SP2.  Also, when making avis you really should include the sound, using a sound capture program like audacity.

RandomEngy > I will add sound to the video, no problem

Connor > You can get Duke Nukem 3D on the abandonware site I linked on page 1
To use it on Mac OSX you shoud read these pages :

Btw, I can record and play back my own demos fine, but I cannot see any of the demos recorded on the webpage. Kineox and Adm Bobs demos. I am using the latest JonoF duke (2004 10/13 build), and I'm guessing the runs by Kineox and Adm Bob are recorded on an earlier build. If mouselook was like in Quake, I'd be good to go for recording, but I cant run with inverted mouse. There's probably some easy way to fix it, but I cant find it.

Options -> Game Options -> Invert Mouse Aim On/Off

To install the port, install a regular version of Duke3D then unzip all the files to the Duke3D folder.  At least that's how I did it.

Like Kay, I can indeed record and watch my own demos, but can't see any of the demos on the site.

well i also like duke3d, and i hope to see a finished duke done quick one day.
btw, i had to update my win98 to 2000(i hate winxp for many radical reasons) due to some work, and duke3d hangs up sometimes, so i m also going to try some sourceports.
