Actually I doubt it! He must have wanted massive battles done quick which would only be in a Rome: Total War speedrun! And some interesting techniques, but I had only the Trap technique - After the turn has been ended in Medieval: Total War Battles sort as if a horizontal line is going through the map starting from the top! So Trapping armies only works if they are routing/fleeing and in the next turn enemy conquers the all escape routes! They never flee if there already is no point to!
