Oh yes yes, HELL yes!  Grin

But most of the missions are timed. If so, i would say the time when you hit S rank should be the "time" measured. The mission after that doesn't count towards the score untill the next segment.

If it's target, then just when the mission ends is the goal.

If it's score then target, the time "ends" when all the targets are down and you have S rank. If you have S rank proir to the targets, then cut out any delay untill the targets, if there is any, then start the timer again when the targets new timer appears, and stop when the targets are down.

Complicated? Yah, but it's fair.  I hope i can help, i do have the game, and have completed it in expert mode ( but god, that was hard o.O)

EDIT: Oh, and i would be more than happy to act as a verifier, even though it's very hard to cheat in this game  Smiley

That could be more plausible for an IL chart for the levels that are a set time limit (example: Mission 16: Whiskey Corridor).  But for a SS run, using the save timer I believe is the most accurate method of timing, not to mention the easiest for the SDA crew.

I see that a run is on the awaiting verifiers list. I have nothing to add to the discussion, but I really look forward to watching the run...

I could see myself doing a run on the hardest difficulty in the future, but I don't even have a PS2 right now, let alone the game...

Well, once this run gets published, then Ace difficulty would be allowed, given that it's a NG+ run.  But I don't see myself doing that difficulty.  I thought about doing a harder difficulty, but doing it at this level makes the game more exciting to watch, especially since I'm stuck with the basic plane for the first 7 levels (I buy my first plane prior to Shattered Skies, then my only other plane prior to Breaking Arrows).

Definitely looking forward to seeing this.

I still haven't beaten the game from when I posted earlier in the topic, but I have made progress.  Maybe beating it before watching the run will give me the motivation I need...

Good work Sir_VG!

HAH! Tongue

we shall see.... hey speaking of flying games... I'm trying something new called Colony Wars.  There was a trilogy of Colony Wars games for the PS1.  They are full 3D space shooters with multiple weapons, fully 3D gameplay, and individual missions with objectives and such.  Are you familiar with the series?  It hits me as a cross between Freespace (PC) and Star Fox, but I'm not very far into it.

No, unfortunately I haven't.  I haven't played a lot of PS1 space shooters, outside of:

Descent
Space Invaders
Philosoma

I'm sure there's a few others, but that's all I can think of right now.

BTW, It's gonna be a bit before I this will be available, since nate is gone and I can't upload.  And even when I can, it's 10.9GB. ^^;;

I have the first Colony Wars and played a bit of the second one. If the first Colony Wars game is indicative of the rest of the series, then it's a fine series.

You summed up the first game well, except you forgot the storyline branches that popped up whether you succeeded or failed a mission. And the biggest crime of all, you forgot to mention that James Earl Jones was the narrator Tongue

Great run, Sir VG (I mean Lord VG?). I enjoyed the comments as well.

I have not played The Belkan War, but I would watch a run of the game...

AC0 is considerably different in style than AC04.

1 - No time frame missions.  No escort missions.  And only 2 "get x # of points" missions.  16/18 missions have a clear goal.

2 - The partner AI is actually pretty decent.  Not perfect, but they do a decent job and help remove a few targets here and there.

3 - Music style.  AC04 is more grandiose orchestra, while AC0 has a notable amount of Spanish (specifically, Tango) influence.

However, the biggest fault that makes AC04 better than AC0 is the flow.  AC04 feels more like a war in how the battles fit together.  AC0 feels a bit disjointed at times, and the super weapons don't have a very good fit into the game in comparison to AC04.
