Ok, I thought about it for a while last night and started this run. I plan to stay low level, and not kill anything unless I have to, relying on summoning and stealth for most of it.
I'm just under two hours in, and actually decided to take care of seeking your roots ie collecting 100 nirnroots first...
Not what I had planned on, but since its hardest difficulty, I figure I wont get very far on most quests without leveling up my spells, and I may as well do something while I'm casting starlight and bound dagger on myself over and over again. Also, if I can make it through the tedious task of finding 100 of these, I might just finish this run somehow.
I'm recording it with FRAPS, at 320x240, and compressing to xvid. I cant seem to compress the audio in virtualdub without it desyncing, so I guess I'll just convert it to a lower bitrate or whatever.
I'll post the first 10 or so minutes on youtube since 10 mins is the limit, and see if its acceptable quality before moving on in the run.
Edit: Ok, forget youtube, I forgot it uses its own codec. Here's a link to the first segment, the tutorial.

Edit 2: I've decided to consider the 2 hours I recorded last night as a trial run. Biggest reason is speed and planning, I want to be High Elf with Apprentice for more Magicka. I also want to disable the official plugins like Frostcrag Spire for consistency. I dont plan on using them at all and dont consider them part of vanilla Oblivion. If I want I can add them later.
SO, before I start again, I'd like to know if 640x480 is good enough resolution to record with, or if I should go higher? At first I was concerned about size, but even at 320x240 its going to be monstrous, so it may as well look decent.
