If nobody's pointed this out yet, you can exploit the fact that when running into a wall, you get instantly rotated to be parallel to it. This could speed up your turning, theoretically. On the other hand, the game's so damn hard to control to start with that trying anything too fancy would be a nightmare.

can you do years 1 and 2 in an hour altogether cause i can't beat that time. Plus when you're in the tube switching room press 6 to get the dead worms out and also 6 to get them out after you fill them up

with windows movie maker when you open a video file untick the option that creates segments. Then edit and when you get to the point you want it to end at cut the segment and copy the second segment and save your movie. Then paste it when the movies created. It's what i do. Maybe i'll try making another run and i'll see how fast i can do it

its not possible to do the balloons because the door is closed. You need to give the work order to eva first. I think its pointless that manny walks out of that room into the receptionist area on his own when you need to go back there anyways. Just something you can't control

i did year 1 in 27 mins. I never knew i didn't have to speak to sal. I made a few mistakes so it could be a bit shorter

Finally some posts with some meat to 'em.  That's good stuff to keep in mind and that's what we should be discussing.  Skipping the Sal dialogue is a great pointer.

i found that on a mistakes page about the game. Years 1 and 2 take about half an hour each. Year 3 takes abotu 15 mins and year 4 take half an hour also. One thing i noticed about the speedrun that glitch did was that the dialog wasn't cut off as fast as it could be, you have to press . just as they start speaking and not repeatedly press it cause for some reason it won't cut off the dialog as fast. Plus the scythe animation can't be cut off when you release bruno in year 1 but you can stop him from saying "nice bathrobe" by pressing escape. I'd like to see segment 3 of the speedrun when its done

Interesting, I've never noticed that before.  Mostly because I love the dialog so much I would never want to skip it.

I don't want to get anyone excited, but I finally got my copy to work.  I'm here for help if anyone is looking to run the game.  I'd do it myself, but first I want to run through it for my own pleasure, then I'd look to run it as time permits while I'm at school, and if I can capture it well, etc.

Anyway, just looking to get some life back into this thread.
