Sunpal, very nice run. I liked how you used enemy fireballs effectively with the grabber, it looks so much more convenient and risk-free compared to using a double barrel. Are you planning a re-run?
There are definitely some tricks yiff could use here. Like skipping the zombie-killing red light fest after getting the double barrel and the jumping trick at 12:28.

I appreciate your comment, tossedsalad. Thanx for 'very nice run'!
Yes, I'm planning a re-recording. 'cause...
- 2nd Boss(Berserk hunter) killing time is too long. 'Artifact calling -> chaingun/DB shotgun' looping is so fool. I'll change the play that is new way.
- Sometimes mistake is fool, too. My DB shotgun canceling skill is not strong yet. Stamina controlling, jumping and etc. is too.
How did he run about 41:52?? I don't understand yet. Health skill? canceling? ah, Health skill is using of low damage 'cause 'Marine' difficulty have low damage.
NightMare's damage is, for example,
- Zombie's punch power is about 60!(57?) - Hellknight? 1 shot(or punch) equals dead of doomguy, directly!
I give up the run of original cause nightmare's damage is very extreme. I hate the difficulty what is 'Marine'.
Anyway, I shall re-run some time.
Thank you for interesting of my movie.

Is it just me or has the HQ version some serious bugs. I watched half of the movie and there are already 2 times that the movie freezes until the next keyframe and around 14min15sec there are some frames broken with artifacts.
The run itself is fabulous, i mean besides the tricks the gameplay is extreme fast, but im no speedrunner, im easy to impress.....
I hope you'll do the rerun to make this one even more perfect.
ahm... someone with the same movieglitches i experienced?

You're video is coded with xvid, there is nothing new to use with. Maybe the lag between two keyframes here and there is because my box is too old for that kind of videobandwidth (i think it isn't) but there are definitely some serious broken frames in the videostream, they are skipped by the codec but you can definitely see they are broken. I used virtual dub to check this prob, and the tool thinks the same way i am....
I will redownload the HQ version and recheck for error, cause you know this one is much to important to leave it with broken frames, if they are....
So i guess theres no one else who downloaded the HQ version...

Old, damaged, or.. I don't know. HQ=LQ (about using a codec. XviD use!) p.s : I have OQ movie, too. but it's too big. (OQ - Original Quality. 15.1Gb )

Sunpal, since you are planning a re-run, i think you should learn a few techniques like strafejumping and grabber tricking.
You can see the grabber tricks in my 1st post on the first page.
Would someone care to provide a strafejumping tutorial?

Would someone care to provide a strafejumping tutorial? Well, do as in Quake or Half-Life and just add holding +forward and you're set. For some reason I find it very hard to explain strafe jumping with words.

Strafe-jumping is a form of trickjump used to increase a player's speed in computer games based on the Quake engine. The technique is common in QuakeWorld, Quake II and Quake III Arena, and widely accepted as being part of the game. In Half-Life (which uses a heavily-modified Quake game engine) based games, such as Counter-Strike, strafe jumping is viewed by many as being an exploit or as cheating. Several Half-Life mods have introduced changes that limit or prevent strafe jumping along with bunny hopping. Strafe-jumping requires a very specific combination of mouse and keyboard input. The exact technique involved depends on the game itself; however, most games follow a certain pattern of user actions. The movements are usually as follows: 1. The player presses the forward key, preparing to make the first jump. 2. Still keeping the forward key pressed, the player jumps, adding either the strafe left or the strafe right key. 3. To gain maximum speed, the player must now move the mouse smoothly (i.e., turn) in the direction of the strafe, while still holding down the two aforementioned keys. This part is called airstrafing, which is responsible for increase in speed during the jump. 4. For successive strafejumps, the player immediately jumps again on landing, swapping the direction of strafe as well as mouse motion. Done correctly, this will dramatically increase the player's velocity with successive jumps. The only way to learn this technique is by practice. Sequential strafejumping is mainly a matter of muscle memory, as the maximum angle of mouse motion increases slightly with consecutive jumps.
This is not written by me, it's just from some site. I would write it down myself, but I also find it hard to explain with words like Kibumbi.

Core of my re-run planning is decreasing for mistake. I knot that is jumping trick. but the thing seems to give a little effect about Doom3. I think... Nightmare < Marine (possibility for SpeedRun) So, I'm taking a rest, too.

Actually, strafe jumping is one of the most important tricks if you want to make Doom 3 runs, because it can be used almost everywhere in the game. Not only do you move about twice as fast as with ordinary running, you can do so without wasting any stamina at all.
