That's right, folks, you can get paid for speedrunning games! Check out the list below to see which games we currently have bounties for.

Note that these bounties often have specific restrictions and rules and are offered by individual members of the forum, not by SDA officially. Be sure to contact the person who offered the bounty to see if it's still on offer. Of course, you have to rely on their word, we can't guarantee that there's not a black sheep here and there.

I updated all the bounties to include workable links, since they all became "board not found" errors when nate updated the forum. Let's just hope he doesn't do it again anytime soon.

When posting a bounty, please specify the following details:
1. Single segment, segmented, either one, or an individual level.
2. 100%, Any%, Low% if they apply exactly like that.
3. If it has a time limit (Sub x:xx:xx).
4. Which difficulty if there are multiple difficulty levels.
5. Game system if it has multiple or different ports.
6. Extra conditions such as no damage, no deaths, no out of bounds, etc...

Timeline:
You also must include a due date now. This is to prevent people from working hard on a bounty, only to not get their reward because the member who offered it is no longer here. Sometimes they come back, sometimes they don't. When the due date is up, I'll PM the person who originally offered the bounty to see if it is still being offered. Remember, this doesn't mean you need to rush and produce a crappy speedrun, it just means that if you don't think you can do it by the time the offer expires, you should contact the person offering it and ask him if he can extend the deadline.

See what slowbro has to say about his bounties here.

Available Bounties:
Before you work on one of these, please check the page with the details.

I think that the RE1 should be specified as to what system. It's on 3 I believe. N64, PS1 and GCN also just read SAT and PC. Also, is it Directors cut or original?

No, they really aren't.  Do you get impressed by light switches and doorknobs?

He's talking about the GameCube version, and Trevor Seguin already completed that a LONG time ago.

Mkt2015 offered $100 for the PoP:TTT run, not $200. That's  quite a difference. Great idea to make a new thread.

Trevor Seguin hasn't submitted it to SDA. More to the point, if he's done it, so can anyone really.

Oops, I forgot to update the link. It is indeed $200. And like he admits, an easy $200, if I do say so myself.

Hello, I am a new user at the forum. I have been reading since the beginning of 2007 but just recently found out about the bounties on some runs. I did a search on the forum and didn't find any feasible plans about running The King of Ironfist Tournament 5 (Tekken 5).

I want to see great Tekken videos. But, as this game is a bit off the scope to be run as a normal speed run, I suggest that I make a bounty with my own terms.

-First of all, the game mode will be Arcade Mode, running from Beginner status to Tekken Lord in a single segment. (I only have Tekken 5 on PS 2 so I don't know about the stati in Tekken 5 DR as they grow even after TLord).

-The difficulty setting can be normal. This challenge will be hard enough with normal. Also the game timer shall be set to 60. Rounds per fight shall be one.

-No one wants to see a run where the cheesiest move of a single character is spammed over and over again, so, to prevent this, the challenge will be run with the changeling of the game: Mokujin!

-At least on normal difficulty the game's characters are dumbfounded by the simple u/f + 4 kick on most characters, at least Jinpachi can be beat with that move only, so even Mokujin can't possibly exclude this "cheese move". This is to say, don't over-do one single move over and over again. Using a cheesyish move from time to time is ok, but if the whole video will be 50% some combo etc. it will not be the way this challenge was supposed to be done --> no bounty will be given.

-No round may be won by "time out". Doing so in a 60 second round would be absurd in terms of "speed running".

-Only promotions, no demotions. If a single demotion fight is lost, the challenge is instantly failed. Being in risk of demotion is ok however, as the game sometimes acts weird in the rankings (ie. I have been in a demotion risk after losing a single round after 5 consecutive wins, bug or something?).

-Losing a fight is ok, but only less than 3 times. That is to say, you have "3 lives" and you can lose 2 times but no more. Losing in a promotion fight is allowed but seeing how that gives very much additional time to the run, that would be pointless in the "speed running ethics". However, that is allowed, as sometimes the game holds two promotion fights in a row (I think this has something to do with your score that is measured in the game in some mystical formula).

-Please use the Mokujin's "male" appearance, as the female one is very ugly in my opinion. Or, alternatively, switch the costume every time you lose a fight during the challenge, as to keep track of the number of "lives left".

I think that covers it all. Today I tried running this challenge with Mokujin after like a year's break from the game. I got to Tekken Lord status from Beginner with 15 losses and 180 wins (I fumbled two promotion matches and had 3 miss clicks on selecting the optimal fight). By those parameters the in-game time was something like 65 minutes. So I think this challenge is doable with about 60 minutes in-game time. However, the time doesn't matter. As long as the game isn't stalled in a ridiculous manner.

Also, please note that I don't recommend trying this run if you don't truly master the game. I also urge you not to try the challenge if you don't know how to level up quickly in the Arcade Mode! The process will be very tedious even for the great players. However, after seeing the Japanese and Koreans master the game, I am very sure that this is a completely possible run. I offer a bounty of $50 upon completing the challenge. This may sound little, but it's just to give incentive to the people who truly love the game and need this "little something" to get going and try to beat the challenge. Within a month's training I think the challenge would be doable by myself too but I have college to attend to.

The payment will be made using PayPal, which I will start using when someone contacts me and tells that they will start to make the run. If I am the first one to post the video of this challenge, no bounties will be given, at least not before I rethink the situation.

Well, as Craig Marduk would put it: "Put your cameras ready folks, it ain't gonna take long."

Edit. I changed the lives to "3" as I saw the video on Youtube of this guy doing 131 fights in a row with Doctor B. However, Dr. B. a bit overpowered and the guy is doing the stupid thing and spamming the same moves over and over... On the other hand, the survival mode is a bit harder on the energy as you don't get the bar full in the beginning of each match. If 3 lives is too difficult, I will have to rethink the challenge a bit. Try the game a bit and tell me what you think.

It's on Shin's site. Davis didn't state that it had to be submitted to SDA.

Either way, Trevor did it with the Japanese version, with saves, and stamped out his Rocket Launcher run to boot.

You want to try beating Trevor's record? It's like watching a TAS. As far as New Game goes, it's pretty much as perfect as it's gonna get, barring if someone were to beat it in an SS. If Trevor's run was beaten in an SS, I'd mail both my eggs. =p

I wouldn't see arcade mode as a speedable category, but "The Devil Within" I think would be a possibility.

Don't get to excited that you were right and I am wrong. I assumed it would be on the 64, also I thought I remembered it being on it, as for the fact that 0 and 2 is on the N64, so it naturally makes sense don't you think?
