C3:1 - Around The World

To celebrate life itself, SDA starts its third championship with this contest. If you were around for the 2001-2002 and 2003 championship contests, you will also remember the grand champions of the past, Jozsef Szalontai and Anders Nordensten. If you feel like joining these runners in the ranks, here is your chance: the 2006-2007 championship ladder! General rules for this and other contests, and total results from the championship will be posted here.

C3:1 - Around The World is the first contest in this third SDA championship. You will have to battle your way around the world on this map, crafted and graciously donated by none other than Rutger Baks. Two categories are being contested;

  1. This contest will end in two weeks, Midnight CET, Wednesday October 25th 2006.
  2. Send your demos to our contest email address.
  3. Name the demos and eventual textfiles in the format c3_1_er/nh_player.dem/txt. Someone named Petteri may send in c3_1_er_petteri.dem and c3_1_nh_petteri.dem, for example.
  4. Points will be rewarded to the best placed runners in both categories, as explained on the championship page.
  5. Good luck and happy running!
The contest is over and the results can be found below. Get all demos here.

Congratulations to Martin Selinus for winning both categories this time, and scoring a total of 20 points in this round of the championship. It's also great to see a couple of first-timers (welcome, y'all), as well as some returning old-timers (welcome back, y'all). Get all demos here.

A small note: next time, make sure to read and follow all the rules carefully. We cannot accept demos made in [weird Quake engine XŸZ version ø].
