Released in April 2008, Grand Theft Auto 4 provided all of the controversial elements fans of the GTA series had learned to love. You play as Niko Bellic, a war veteran who comes stateside to pursue the American Dream. Instead, he settles for stealing cars, killing thugs, and being an errand-boy for every drug dealer and mobster who needs their dirty work done.

So, this is the very first GTA4 speedrun, didn't prepare anything, just play-and-record this (for some things, which i remember from usual playing).
GTA4 now have some bad thing - Taxi routes. game would be better without them (Firstly, for people who watch this run). Taxi-routing become available on the "Bull In A China Shop" mission, so in all missions before then, i do all the routes by myself.
Another thing - cell-phone. Exacly - phone calls from your different friends(or enemies). That phone-call system are really messy, so, sometimes you need to complete attemp from the first loading (55,56,62,75 segments, and others), otherwise you will receive another stupid call. In other ways, some calls random. Anyway, in most cases, use taxi-routes to skip some -game time, and receive needed call earlier. Other calls (Brucie's call for example, in part 82) triggered by the play-timer, so you can't do anything to it faster.
GTA now also include auto-saving system, that saves so much time (in-game and real).
And a bit information about weapons: almost all the time use Uzi (crazy shooting rate, big clip), for long range shooting - AK\M4. And 't forget RPG - it saves so much time when you need to destroy something (heli, cars or some sneaky enemies).
