Another great win for Timo Nieminen, who fought off some stiff competition from Thomas and Basil to claim his second victory of the series. All four demos show some great tricks but it was the inclusion of a few additional boosts and overall smooth-as-fuck play that gave Timo the edge. (Just check out the rocket jump off the ogre's head).

So that makes two wins each for Timo and Joe and one for Thomas with two contests still to go!

Unfortunately, we also had our first disqualification of the series as one of the scrags in Arturo Garcia Lasca's demo did not actually gib. I have included an additional demo (e1m8_ken.dem) which clearly shows the problem. His demo is still included in the download because I'm sure this was a genuine mistake. Ken might be a butt-hole, but he's never been a cheating butt-hole. :-)

The rules of this contest are simple...

• You must complete e1m8 on Easy Skill getting 17/17 kills.
• Every kill must be a gibbed kill. If you don't understand what that means then check out this demo and all will become clear.
• The winner will be the person that exits in the fastest time.
• *SPECIAL RULE* When you exit you must be carrying at least one rocket. IF YOU EXIT WITH 0 ROCKETS YOUR ENTRY WILL BE INVALIDATED. This is to open up as many possible routes in the next contest as possible. To be honest, I don't think this will cause anyone any problems but you never know. :-)
• Secrets are entirely optional : you can use as many or as few as you like.
• All demos should be e-mailed to Nolan ONLY!
• Please name your demos e1m8_gib_yourname.dem, any accompanying text file should be named e1m8_gib_yourname.txt and it should all be dzipped up into e1m8_gib_yourname.dz.
• You MUST start your run with the following statistics: 94 Health, 95 Yelow Armour, 67 Shells, 186 Nails, 8 Rockets, 0 Cells, the shotgun, the super-shotgun, the nailgun, the super-nailgun and the grenade launcher. These can be set using QdQstats (which hopefully you're all using anyway), but if you don't know how to do it then this should help.
