Dimension of the Gibbed

Welcome to third part of a multi-part contest that'll send your bodyparts flying! The idea is to gib your way through the whole of Episode One - Dimension Of The Doomed in the fastest possible time. The finishing stats from the winner of the previous contest will be used as the starting stats of the current contest, the finishing stats from the winner of the current contest will be used as the starting stats for the next contest, and so on. Don't worry if that sounds a little confusing, all will become clear as time goes on. At the end of the series of competitions all the winning entries (and any cool bits from the other demos) will be recammed and joined together to form one big QdQ style production.

Demos

Well, as expected this turned out to be a real challenge with far fewer people managing to complete this level than the previous two. But the six (well, five) entries we did receive were far faster than I expected.

But once again it was Jozsef Szalontai who held off Thomas and Timo to claim his second win of the series.

A big well done to Joe and everyone else that took part. And to those of you that tried to enter this contest but couldn't get a decent run, never mind. There's still four contests to go (and the last three will be easier (i.e. FASTER)). :-)

A special mention goes out to Phil who had a little trouble with.... I'll let you watch the demo and see for yourself.

The rules of this contest are simple...

The closing date for this contest is Midnight CET Sunday 20th October 2002. The results and the details of the fourth part of the contest will be posted (hopefully) on Monday 21st October.

This level is a lot larger than the previous two and there's no quad to help you, so the contest will run for nearly two weeks to give you enough time to work out the best way of gibbing those two annoying ogres at the end. Luckily your new best friend, the grenade launcher, is waiting to assist you as you smash the monsters into small pieces of putrescent death.

Go get 'em! Let none survive!
