Back from Amsterdam
As you may have read from the Runner's Delight page, I was visiting Jesse for one week at Amsterdam, and just got back some hours ago. In addition to all the massive amount of work we spent doing stuff for RDE, we drank LOTS of beer, went to some cool D&B parties, and had these pointless conversations about speedrunning IRL which actually led us to wake up really early once and go test speedrunning IRL in Amsterdam's park, mad stuff :) After a couple of days when we were forced to do the first Nightmare 100% coop of the dishes we were thinking about a route back to Finland. After some planning we came to a conclusion that the extremely difficult bunny over the East sea back to Finland could only be possible with Jesse boosting me on teamplay 1. Ah well, thanks to Attila who warned us early enough with crazy ICQ messages saying that we probably don't have the same color pants. Doh, he was right :) We tested Jesse's RD -episode quite much, and built the intro-, final-, and some startdemos for it. In my opinion the maps looked awesome and included lots of possible tricks so they will be / were fun to run :) The anti-bunny code (progs.dat that disables bunnyhopping) is not bad after all, it makes running much enjoyable and relaxed. Can't wait for the project to be released... IRC party tonight

ToT contest results
Here goes the results for the Tower of Torment doom2 contest. The competition was very exciting, three people got 0.45 so the victory is tied. If you want to see great running with hot Archvile boosts and cool easter eggs, head on over to the contest page. I will be gone for about a week again. Meanwhile keep on sending your
demos for Ballshaft contest. Some of
the entries that I've received so far seem to be very fast...

![]() Ballshft Finally we have another Quake contest going on. Marc 'Retard' Reilly
has finished his speedrunmap, A Couple Balls 'n' A Few Shafts, and the
download
is available here. There are the four usual Quake categories, skill
0 run, skill 0 100%, skill 3 run and skill 3 100%. The contest deadline
is 31st this month (somewhat important day for speedrunning ;-), so there's
plenty of time. Go have some fun!

Doom2 stuff
Received only one entry for the Warkeep contest. The demo by Adam Williamson is really fast and full of action, check it out.
ToT Although there doesn't seem to be much doom people around, here goes yet another doom2 contest. Mattias Berggren has built a speedrun map, Tower of Torment. There should be a couple of very cool shortcuts in this one :) The deadline for this contest is 21st July, the categories are skill 1 run and skill 4 100%. Download the map. A new quake contest will be up soon...
