Your music taste?
Alternative; SFA, Radiohead and video game stuff

Anything you want to add here (about yourself)?
Have been writing mods for Quake since the year dot, including one which basically is today's Mad Coop. With bots.

Quake-related Information

Your nickname (story behind it)?
Lag.Com/LagDotCom... back when I had just got onto the net, I was on a painfully slow 28k8 modem. I used to play the online game Subspace a lot, and I was known for being a 'laggot'. Not hard to guess the next chapter.

Your Quake config (key bindings, etc.)?
Mouse Left/Right/Middle/Wheel: Fire/Jump/Fire Rocket/Change Weapon
i/j/k/l: forward/strafe left/back/strafe right
u: change to perforator/super shotgun
o: change to grenade launcher
n: record the demo I'm working on
m: stop recording

Size of Quake directory on your HD?
3.65 GB =O

Your computer (processor/videocard etc.)?
AMD Athlon XP 1700+ (1.47GHz), 1GB RAM, GeForce 4 MX, nice logitech optical wheely mouse thingy.

Quake settings (resolution, version etc.)?
JoeQuake GL at 800x600 windowed, with full bells and whistles. I love those flames!

First contact to speedrunning (when, how etc.)?
About three years ago I saw mention of QdQwav on a website and decided to download... wow! I downloaded a bunch more speedruns and thought about trying some myself. Got slightly miffed at getting nowhere near the record times, I put off submitting demos until 2005. Now I'm still no better, but I try harder. =p

First speedrunning demo?
e1m1_029 ER possibly. =O First one I sent in was mis_010 ER, which I thought was quite good at the time.

Favorite speedrunning demo(s) from yourself (the one(s) that you're most proud of)?
I was very proud of ouv_056 EH's 4 intermission kills until Kimmo ruined it. =D Probably our joint d8z_050, because of the 'stupidest fiend ever'.

Favorite speedrunning demo(s) from others?
Everything from Windlash Demos' naked section, shaf_1022 NH4 for the ridiculous factor, e4m7_043 from Kay, that level is nuts to watch.

Favorite player (overall/runs/100%/marathon/coop)?
Stubby's axework is great, Kay's unbelievable bunnying. Connor of course, all of his demos for the Nolans 2004 were spectacular.

Favorite trick in a demo?
Intermission killing in general, anything involving multiple voreballs.

Favorite QdQ release?
QdQwav! The thing which got me started in the first place.

Favorite original Quake map?
e2m1, got to love how a sizeable map like that can take 7 seconds to finish.

Favorite custom map?
terra1, for almost the same reason as e2m1.

Most annoying monster/map?
Every bloody monster on e2m5. Any level with more than 8 scrags on, I hate their psychic dodging abilities!

Do you like Doom/Quake2/Q3A?
Doom's a great game, I prefer Quake for its speedrunning tricks though
Quake2 was alright, but... meh. Mission based? Baaaaaaah!
Q3A was balanced wrong in my opinion, and not a worthy end to the Quake trilogy.

What do you think of Quake now?
Absolutely awesome game, the fact that new clients have been written for it which include more for QuakeC gives me more stuff to mod!

Quake Purity Test score? link
83% pure. There's too many questions about conventions and not enough about modding. =)

Anything else you want to add here?
One day I will keep a single player record!
