Anything you want to add here (about yourself)?

Quake-related Information

Your nickname (story behind it)?
'Ajare' was my favourite song at the time (Way Out West, no less!), and it sounded cool too. I still don't know if it means anything, though I suspect it might be a Spanish girl's name =)

Your Quake config (key bindings, etc.)?
ESDF for movement; W = GL, R = RL (very important, can't play without them!), and the rest is standard.

Size of Quake directory on your HD?
Currently uninstalled =)

Your computer (processor/videocard etc.)?
P2-400, V3.

Quake settings (resolution, version etc.)?
WinQuake, 320x200.

First contact to speedrunning (when, how etc.)?
I used to make Doom2 speedruns by myself, when I got bored of killing people.

First speedrunning demo?
Quake? E1M3_031, pretty good first demo to make (well it was at the time).

Favorite speedrunning demo(s) from yourself (the one(s) that you're most proud of)?
Either E1M3_029 or E2M6_234 I did for Qd100Ql.

Favorite speedrunning demo(s) from others?
E2M2_038 from Peter, and the MC EH of all Quake done by Jesse, Sokrates, FAB and myself. Also the MC EH of Ep1 by Jesse, Ilkka, Matte and myself. Those were the days. They're the demos I enjoy watching the most.

Favorite player (overall/runs/100%/marathon/coop)?
Yonatan. These days demos are so fast and smooth that you forget there's someone playing it, it could just be a robot. The thing I like about Yon's demos was that you could 'feel' him playing them, if you can understand what I mean.

Favorite trick in a demo?
The fiend-trap in Markus's E1M3_024, really clever thinking.

Favorite QdQ release?
Scourge done Slick

Favorite original Quake map?
E4M7, very nice and moody.

Favorite custom map?
Numb Nimbus, very original.

Most annoying monster/map?
The usual ones, E2M5 fiend, fiends generally.

Do you like Doom/Quake2/Q3A?
I used to be very good at Doom2 DM, I sorta went off Quake2 quite quickly, and I've never played Q3A.

What do you think of Quake now?
It's still brilliant, but the romance has gone.

Quake Purity Test score? link
67.7%
