Heraklit | Posted - 19 October 2001 0:18 PST Hi, to add to my collection of quake movies, i look for q1 speedrun movies in divx/avi/rm formats to add to the site http://divxdemofaq.cannonfodder.de and another repository. The short length of most speedruns calls for making movies out of the most impressive ones, so all the ppl who dont own q1, but feel the need for speed, get an inspiration of the q1 speedrunner community. --Heraklit |

lodis | Posted - 26 October 2001 13:06 PST "Q: What demo format can I use to create an avi like FDE? A: We did a Quakeworld (QW) movie so we used qwd (qwz) files. As long as we know it isnt possible to work with .dem (NetQuake) demo files. We advise you to work with qwd files because you can rewind the demos then)." quote from the faq... |
Nagasaki | Posted - 27 October 2001 10:02 PST Afaik it's pretty easy to include a AVI support in the Quake engine - just getting the sounds from the demos as well is much more complicated and requires some special equipment. *** |
