| lodis | Posted - 1 November 2002 2:45 PST I know royalwar. the problem is that somebody has already done the runs and 100%s, was it hanz or was it you? can't remember... in any case it's pretty boring when the optimal route is already found (at least for the runs)... but you never know... we might add it...or not :) and as for quakec coding: you feel up to it? you got the skills? not many people have the knowledge to code quakec. besides, we need to have someone we really trust as we'd be giving out the code for qdqstats, which could be used to cheat. |

| De_Verorberaar | Posted - 3 November 2002 9:41 PST I think for small maps that would be a spoiler but my rec ( i dont have the map but i do have a listing of all my best times) is 0:46 wich isnt to fast and for i formatted everything wich had to do with quake (except the list with my times) i don't even have the run anymore. Another reason why i don't find your argument to strong i think me and Hanz (aswel of a lot off other ppl) have ran every map we could get our hands on even crappy ones even unfinished once even maps with no endporter (anyone knows the map "salvation" where the map editor thought he made an unescapeble end? get the penta do a shortcut and just laugh real hard at that stupid mapper! :) I'm not saying you have to add the map just saying it's quite fun to run i think, for medium and good players and maybe even has coop potential (100%'s ofcourse always have) About the quakec coding i see the problem (i might pick up my study on AI again this summer you'll never know) but then again are we 100% sure we can trust Nolan or stubz or morf or anyone? it will always be a question of 99% trust and this guy or girl/ he or she showed reliable the last year I even think there or ppl on this globe so eager to do programming (especially when it's a challenge) they might even don't have to be runners |

I'm sure everyone on sda has done demos on maps that are not on sda. The problem is that you have already released them :) You posted the links to demos on this messageboard so it wouldn't be particularly exciting if we added the map. But hey, we might add it, but then again... :) I do like the map btw. It's on my list. nolan knows there is no spoon. |

| De_Verorberaar | Posted - 5 November 2002 11:04 PST if you don't bother reading all scroll down for conclusion hmmm ahh got one: k we all use cheats from time to time to find the damn secrets or just try shit out..now Nolan gets the CT(coldturkey) shivers all over and just find this great 45 minutes shortcut by avoiding a trigger and thus doing All_custom_maps_NH (he could do that he can alter the rules!) and finishing in an hart pounding time of 5:30:00 but he forgot to turn of godmode wich he used to practice... now he can do three things: hmm i geuss you were right! oh nolan could you do me a favor could you send me in like 5 minutes a file so i can record starcraft/broodwar so i can record the original scenario with a build in nuketimer pls! :) k i'll shut up |
