C3:7 - Swimming Prohibited

Time for the 7th contest in the Championship which is now continued to 2008. To celebrate that change, we chose a not-too-beautiful but very speedrunnable map from an unknown mapper (you tell us who he/she is) - watrways! Hooray for three categories:

  1. This contest will end in two weeks, Midnight CET, Tuesday February 12th 2008.
  2. Send your demos to
  3. Name the demos and eventual textfiles in the format c3_7_er/eh/nh_player.dem/txt. Someone named Onyx may send in c3_7_nh_onyx.dem and c3_7_nh_onyx.txt, for example.
  4. Points will be rewarded to the best placed runners in all categories, as explained on the championship page.

It was known that 7 is certainly possible. Surprisingly, only one player did it: Rutger Baks! Congratulations and 10 points! He left everyone else far behind, Karol Urbanski took 2nd place with a slight 0.03s margin over Flavio. This time there were two newcomers - Philip Chute and Andrey Kulsha who recorded a keyboard-only demo!

The Easy 100% category saw mainly two routes: staying out of water or jumping in there. Flavio Quadros chose wisely to keep his feet dry and bunnyhopped to the victory. Congratulations! The second place goes to Jaakko Alakopsa who decided to jump into the lake, finishing only 0.06 seconds faster than Pif de Mestre.

Only four Nightmare 100% demos arrived this time. Jaakko Alakopsa took a clear win with small tweaks to his EH route. Flavio Quadros and Pif de Mestre had a close battle of second place, only 0.008 seconds away from each other!
