| -SCUT-OpenGL | Posted - 25 February 2002 18:38 PST well... i had thought most runners should bunny better than me, but it turned out that some runners can't get even 12 seconds? it comforts me so much =P. and my best time is 11.24 now. ;) but, you are right in saying bunny is just one thing. i didn't know that my overall skill is even worse than i had expected before i tried to do an e1m1 ER with my bunnies, and after an hour's try my best time is just 27.9! is it believable comparing to that 100m in 11.24? =\\ |
| lodis | Posted - 26 February 2002 1:00 PST ken: if you really want to try to run disturb I have some hints for you :) I can't run them myself as the runs are full of sharp turns and that fucks up my wrist. I tried improving the easy run and after an hour my wrist hurt like hell, so I'm not going there again. /thomas |
| Verorberaar | Posted - 26 February 2002 6:54 PST get a trackball preferable the marble mouse from logitech..i had starting rsi (when i played starcraft 24/7 and quake 24/7(dunno where i found teh time to do both 24 /&)) bought that marble mouse just continued playing and after 3 days i already dint suffer anymore and after a week didnt feel a thing anymore... give it a try if you feel porblem is getting saerious ( my rsi was in the tendences of my index finger just cuz of clicking on m1 while you use wrist wich is bad!) now i clk with thumb and index and middle vinger are on the ball! yeah feels good:P oh and it's 100x times more ez to clean to you will have to get used to it but i have the same when i sit behind a comp with a mouse now |

| Jozsef | Posted - 26 February 2002 7:44 PST Logitech RULEZ forever!! Ohh, and yeah, try to make records rather on e1m1 and on e2m1 to check your bunnies's speed than on that 100m map. That's not optimal to check the speed imo. |
| Ken | Posted - 26 February 2002 10:39 PST Can someome give me the codes for saying something while pressing a key, and perform the normal option? For instance, I have the Enter key binded to "+jump" .. but if I do "+jump;say jump pressed" .. it not only says "jump pressed 13" (weird, aint it?), but it says it twice. And if I add the say command before the jump, it'll say it once (cant remember if still with the '13'), but it wont jump! I want this to make a cool teaching demo on bunnies... well, cool according to me at least, I know for sure it could help some of this runners who get 20 secs in 100m. :) We live, as we dream - alone. |
| -SCUT-OpenGL | Posted - 26 February 2002 10:50 PST thank you, joe! within half an hour i managed e2m1 ER in 8.93 seconds(with a hell lot of 9.0x), while my elder time is 9.6 or so. i also tried to do e4m5 ER with your route to see if i can get a :12, but dont quite get how to do that slope jump. =/ |
| Fr3n | Posted - 26 February 2002 11:55 PST hmm, maybe I'm getting better, I can now do 100m in 12.0 ... but the problem is I can only do this on my first 2 or 3 tries and then when I try to go faster, my movements get tighter and I can't even make 13.0 =) |
| Jozsef | Posted - 27 February 2002 3:24 PST On e4m5 that slopejump is pretty hard, dont count on it that you will be able to do it soon. That requires good, verz good bunny skillz, you have to know how to raise your bunnies' speed. |
| -SCUT-OpenGL | Posted - 27 February 2002 18:12 PST after several hours' try i finally got e1m1_026(ER) for several times, the best one is 26.5, and i think 25 should be possible for me, but the 3 bottons are so hard to deal with. i also tried the e2m2 slope jump, and made it a lot with hfr, but on normal speed it is so hard. joe, are you going to put peter in danger too? ;-] |
